Appstem - 12 Year Anniversary

A lot has changed since March 2020, when Appstem celebrated its 10th anniversary. Back then, we looked back at our first, formative decade and were optimistic about the future. Then the world changed. There was so much uncertainty as the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe. Among the major concerns about public health, here at Appstem we had to think about what it would mean for technology?

Now that the economy is showing signs of improvement and many businesses are slowly returning to normal operations, Appstem is coming up on our 12th anniversary and our team is incredibly grateful – and perhaps surprised – about how much has changed for the industry and our company.

We came out of 2020, with our patience and resilience tested, but over the past year, Appstem has experienced phenomenal growth (44%), added nine new employees, 11 new clients and completed more than 20 client projects in 2021.

We’ve seen several sectors continue to expand: telehealth, remote work and home fitness. We’re working with top companies to develop and improve state-of-the-art software that take advantage of new advancements in augmented reality, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. In the coming year, we’ll continue to design and develop mission critical mobile and web apps along with emerging technologies. The industry is always evolving.

One of the biggest organizational changes over the last two years has been the transition to fully remote work. We’ve found that the collaboration and creativity we thought was fostered by an in-person environment extends to remote work when you have the right talent, process and systems in place. The flexibility of being able to work from anywhere has allowed us to attract and retain a strong and diverse team. As we continue to grow, we are always looking to add new teammates.
